Episode 254 - Poltershite

When you watch the broad range of movies that are featured in the cave, you're going to sometimes run into a random turd. We were hit squarely in the face by two of them this time, but we still managed to enjoy our time with films, and also in our discussion of all the little ways the movies were successful. We start with 1988's "Dead of Night" and follow it with 1992's "Crystal Force". Dead of Night a.k.a. Mirror of Death, deals with magic candles, mirrors and chanting. Our lead character is possessed and her sister has to find a way to fix things. The version on Tubi has some of the worst sound-mixing of all time, so be sure to turn on the subtitles if you want to give it a try. Crystal Force stars the adult film superstar Sharon Kane as a woman who finds herself with a possessed crystal that unleashes a full-blown demon on her group of friends. It has plenty of nudity and some very silly moments, and it falls squarely into that "so bad it's good" category. It is also available currently on Tubi if you want to watch.
