Episode 216 - Better Dead Than Red

For our first episode recorded in 2023, we look at two films from writer/director Eric Red! We start off with "Cohen and Tate" from 1988, starring Roy Scheider and Adam Baldwin in a tale of two hitmen sent to retrieve a young boy and bring him in for questioning by the mob. It's a bit of a mess, with cartoony performances but it has enough good ideas and moments that it's ultimately satisfying. We follow that up with the entertaining "Bad Moon" from 1996, which stars Michael Pare and Mariel Hemingway as a brother and sister. At the start of the film, the brother is bitten by a werewolf and the family dog, which is the real standout actor in the movie, is none too happy about this dark presence in the home. It's fun despite its flaws and has a fantastic werewolf suit! We then proceed to list the various things we've been watching for fun.
