Happy Halloween from the Cave!!! In the "spirit" of the season, we look at two very fun films from the 80s that focus on witches, curses and the overwhelming influence of evil. We start off with 1983's The Devonsville Terror from director Ulli Lommel. A new teacher shows up in a small town where the locals are NOT open to oustiders. The teacher learns about the checkered past of the town, and how they killed women who were accused of practicing witchcraft. Is she the reincarnation of one of those women??? You'll have to watch the movie to find out. We were in disagreement about the overall quality of the movie, but we all enjoyed it. We follow that up with a wonderful little flick called Superstition from 1982. The storyline is very similar, but focuses on one witch who puts a curse on a small estate. Jumping to contemporarty time, we see the estate has fallen into the hands of the local church. While cleaning up the estate for a family to move in, they release the ancient evil and murder and mayhem ensues. It's a great little atmospheric movie and we all recommend it completely! We then proceed to list the various things we've been watching for fun. Please let us know what you thought of the show, and send us some suggestions for future episodes.
