After a VERY long break, we're finally back with a new episode saluting the legendary Roger Corman! We chose two films he directed that are EXTREMELY different from each other. We start with 1964's science fiction flick "X the Man with the X-Ray Eyes" starring Oscar-winner Ray Milland as a scientist who wants to expand the range of human vision. He develops a serum that he tests on himself that ends up giving him the ability to see through various things. It's a great story of human folly and the mysteries of the universe. Really great stuff. We follow that with 1967's "The Secret Invasion", a classic war movie where a group of convicts are recruited for an "impossible mission". A great cast and top-notch plotting make this thing riveting from beginning to end. It should be no surprise that we were completely impressed with both movies! Mr Corman will be sorely missed but he has left behind a mountain of work that we will certainly be revisiting. Please let us know what you thought of the show, and send us some suggestions for future episodes. You can email us at flickersfrom@yahoo.com or flickersfrom@gmail.com.
