There is so much glitter scattered all over the cave this time after we watched two movies that center around the workers at strip clubs. In both movies, there are mysterious deaths occuring, the police are called in, and clothes are discarded...these are pure 80's nonsense and great examples of the sort of low-budget filmmaking that was happening back then. Both films are written and directed by the completely bad-ass Katt Shea and produced by none other than Mr Roger Corman himself! We start with "Stripped to Kill" from 1987 which has the always-reliable and gorgeous Kay Lenz in the lead, playing opposite BJ and the Bear leading man Greg Evigan. Lenz is a police officer who goes undercover as a stripper to try to find out who is killing the other dancers. It does a lot with it's miniscule budget and is totally worth checking out. We also watched the sequel, appropriately titled "Stripped to Kill 2: Live Girls" with Maria Ford taking over the lead role. Ford's character is a stripper who keeps having weird nightmares and waking up to find that one of her fellow dancers has turned up dead. This one is less successful than the first but there are moments throughout that make it worth watching. We then proceed to list the various things we've been watching for fun.
